Researchers from leading universities in the Great Lakes area gathered at Ivey on May 27-28 for a two-day conference showcasing their current entrepreneurship research.
The inaugural Great Lakes Entrepreneurship Network (GLEN) conference at Ivey’s Spencer Leadership Centre, hosted by Ivey’s Entrepreneurship Cross-Enterprise Leadership Centre, drew delegates and presenters from seven schools: Indiana University, University of Illinois, University of Minnesota, Ohio State University, Syracuse University, University of Wisconsin, and Richard Ivey School of Business.
he goal of the conference, which will rotate through the seven schools, was to connect entrepreneurship doctoral students and faculty, and share ideas about the latest research.
“It’s an idea-generation forum,” said Simon Parker, Director of the Entrepreneurship Cross-Enterprise Leadership Centre and MBA ‘80 Professor in Entrepreneurship. “Entrepreneurship research is a fast-growing field and there are some outstanding researchers participating in the event. The conference was initiated to gain insights from this research, give feedback on people’s ideas and suggest ways to move forward. We’re looking at possible collaborations for the future.”
Harry Sapienzo, the Curtis L. Carlson Chair in Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Minnesota, was looking forward to learning about research from developing scholars. “I hope to be inspired by the ideas of young people in the field,” he said.

Just wondering, is it open to the general public or just for the researchers? Also, when is the next one?

The most significant influence on an individual’s decision to become an entrepreneur is workplace peers and the social composition of the workplace. The ability of entrepreneurs to innovate relates to innate traits such as extroversion and a proclivity for risk-taking. generic medicines

Difficult to do poineering work, this year do poineering work more hard, without which the education is to teach entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship has no experience is of little use, creativity is the money to support, most people’s thinking is still stuck on the basis of the traditional, new mode, new thoughts will change a person’s traditional thinking takes too long time too much money, a person’s strength is limited, a slap in the face again greatly again strong can only take a mosquito noise.Milwaukee Movers

Capital, entrepreneurship is not a trifling matter, is and the traditional, and past competition. Must have capital, at least starting capital, but the person that do poineering work most is the lack of capital, the money that a person is limited, but a few money to a few brave hearts together can outbreak amazing energy.boat accident lawyer
